Being a female DJ in such a male
dominated industry, Maximum take’s great pleasure proving
the power of the DJ is in their skill not their sex.
Max has always had a passion for
dance music and has supported the underground scene for
many years from the dance floor. Always the life and soul
of the party she was often the first on the floor and
the last to slide under the table.
Surrounded by friends in the industry,
there was a natural calling to the turntables. Her determination
and vibe has not hindered since the day she first touched
the sacred 1210’s. But her sound has developed into a
unique energetic hard dance by blending elements of hard
house, hardstyle, hard trance and techno.
Maximum’s uprising began at Deception,
Voltz in Blandford, playing alongside the likes of Andy
Whitby, Dark by Design, Iain Cross, The BCR BoyZ, Meri
and MYNKI & RYKI to crowds of nearly 1450. It was
here that clubbers and promoters alike were first made
aware of this fresh new talent. Since then Maximum has
been booked for many local nights including Weymouth’s
premier dance night Exotic, which saw Maximum on the same
line up as Proteus, Mark EG, Dave the Drummer, Carbon
Based, Ephexis, Alex Calver and Adam, Lab 4.
What sets a great DJ apart from
a good one is the ability to feed from the crowd’s reaction.
Even with her passion for tougher underground sounds,
Max is versatile and a master at satisfying the desires
of any crowd, while still being able to express her individuality.
This coupled with her technical expertise and persona
makes her performance one not to be missed.
Max remains incredibly humble and
grateful to be in pursuit of her passion and with more
and more promoter’s booking Maximum her future in the
music industry looks to be a long and prosperous one!
